This month we are holding our monthly meeting a week early due to the scheduled Gubernatorial debate. Please update your calendar and join us as we discuss the final push before the election.

We will have WisDems 2nd Vice Chair Josh Taylor speaking (via Zoom) about David Crowley, what differentiates him from Tom Tiffany, and why David is the best choice for our next Governor. Josh will also take your questions and speak about other Democratic candidates running for state-level offices. Join us so you can learn more about this important election and effectively speak to your friends and neighbors about what’s at stake.

Signs, signs, everywhere there’s signs!

It’s official! The Marquette Dems office has its big, beautiful, blue sign on the front of the building! Check it out the next time you come through Montello (and stop in to say hello)! A huge round of applause to Brian Stafford for all his time and effort making this happen!

In addition to the candidate signs you’ve all put up in yards across the county, we have quite a few large signs in some very visible areas that have been installed over the past month. Thank you to everyone who delivered and installed these - it was truly a “people powered” mission from our bicycle delivery folks! Many of these signs are in yards and areas where we haven’t had the opportunity previously and - pun intended - it’s a SIGN that things are changing!

If you’ve driven east towards Princeton you’ve likely seen the billboard we put up to remind voters how unaffordable life has become under Republicans. This is just one part of our media strategy; watch for newspaper ads, social media campaigns, and more letters to the editor in our local papers. And keep your ears open for our radio spots coming soon to WAUH The Bug 102.3 FM!

If you still need a sign (or two or three or four) for your yard, there are still some left at our office - come by to pick one up or let us know if you need other arrangements. The more support Marquette County shows for our Democratic candidates the better (and bigger) our Blue Wave will be!

These changes just kicked in on October 1st.

• SNAP administrative costs shifted from federal to state government. Estimated taxpayer cost in Wisconsin is $54 million annually

• Federal reimbursement for Emergency Medicaid is now reduced. This covers care for life-threatening emergencies, regardless of immigration status. This will drive up uncompensated care costs for providers while reducing healthcare access & increasing costs for consumers.

An Independent Candidate is running for our 6th Congressional District seat. He is supported by a Nebraska PAC and other out-of-state donors! As of his July 2026 campaign finance reporting, over 82% of his donors are from outside Wisconsin! He is trying to take our Democratic votes. We have been told he has not been truthful when talking about Democratic candidates to others. We need every Democratic vote possible to unseat Glenn Grothman. GROTHMAN MUST GO!
