JULY CALENDAR - and some August

• Saturday, July 4th - TWO PARADES TO WALK OR RIDE IN (details below). It’s fun, it’s short, and yes, it’s hot. If you can, bring a bag of non-melting candy to toss to the kids. Pick one parade or join in at both! Look for the blue Marquette County Democratic Party truck. Office is open between parades for cold drinks, air conditoning or shelter from any rain.

• Wed, July 15th through Sunday, July 19th - visit our MARQUETTE COUNTY FAIR BOOTH in the Commercial Building, County Fairgrounds, 757 S. Main St., Westfield. Come say hello and get candidate information.

• Wed, July 15th through Sunday, July 19th - Montello office closed during County Fair Booth.

• Wed, July 15th - usual monthly meeting date rescheduled to July 22 due to County Fair.

• Wed, July 22nd, 6:00-8:00pm, Speaker Nick Oestreich “HOW TO HAVE DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS WITH VOTERS” followed by monthly meeting (details below)

• Tues, August 11th PRIMARY ELECTION - VOTE! What and who is on your ballot? Go to https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/My-Ballot and enter your address to read your ballot. Primary is partisan, so you vote for either Democratic or Republican candidates, but cannot mix them. Please remind at least three people to vote.

• Sat, August 29th, 11:30am-3pm, Montello City Park - ANNUAL FOUR COUNTY COALITION PICNIC with many local and statewide candidate speakers, music and food!

“In our current polarized environment, it is essential to have open conversations with voters. This means actively listening to what they have to say.
It also means hearing where they’re at so you can help them better understand the importance of voting for pro-democracy candidates.
We also must emphasize the urgency of our times and the need to elect leaders who uphold democratic values, regardless of party affiliation.

The Marquette County Democrat Party is hosting this speaker. Please attend so you can be a force for positive change with friends, families and neighbors, and if you may be knocking doors.

BEWARE
There is an Independent Candidate running for our 6th Congressional District seat. He is supported by a Nebraska PAC - outside money. He is trying to win our Democratic votes. We have been told he has not been truthful when talking about Democratic candidates to others. We need all the Democratic votes possible to unseat Glenn Grothman. Grothman must go!

Marquette County Democratic Party follows the rules of The Democratic Party of Wisconsin. We do not endorse a candidate who has a primary. We will support the winner of the primary election, which is August 11. We have primaries for Governor, State Treasurer, and our 6th US Congressional District Representative.
