About Us

We live, work, play, worship and volunteer in Marquette County. Some of us were born here, some of us moved or retired here - but all of us love it here! This is our home.

We are your neighbors.

We participate regularly in our party activities, planning meetings, and community events. We meet monthly at our headquarters in Montello. For more information on membership, click here. Members do not need to pay dues, however dues financially support our local and state parties. Only dues-paying members can vote for our local party officers and budget.

We are volunteer members.

Our organizational strength begins with a highly engaged Executive Board that maintains active participation across numerous community groups and organizations within Marquette County.

This board is formally structured with a Chair, up to three Vice Chairs, a Secretary, and a Treasurer.

Additionally, specialized appointments manage our core operational functions, including Membership, Fundraising, and Canvassing, ensuring focused and effective execution of our party's mission.

We are leaders.

We get things done.

Our local party is the hub of year-round engagement, effectively executing a comprehensive agenda to advance Democratic values and support our community.

We achieve our mission through several core functions:

  • Voter Mobilization: Also known as Get Out the Vote (GOTV), we drive Democratic turnout using a multi-channel approach: text messaging via the REACH app, one-to-one conversations, door-knocking, phone calls, postcards, candidate events, social media, and advertisements.

  • Candidate Development & Support: We proactively identify, recruit, and support Democratic candidates by reaching out to potential leaders and connecting them with essential local and state resources.

  • Candidate & Voter Engagement: We provide opportunities for our local community to connect directly with candidates through meet-and-greets, speaker events, and our annual four-county picnic. We actively support candidates at all levels—local, county, state, federal, and judicial—to ensure Democratic success across the ballot

  • Community Presence: We ensure a strong public visibility at local events, including parades, the County Fair, local festivals, and through strategic community partnerships.

  • Addressing Community Needs: We champion local initiatives, such as our annual Diaper & Toiletry Drive, Feminine Hygiene Drive, and through sponsorships and events benefiting other local community groups.

  • Building Community & Support: We foster a strong sense of inclusion and camaraderie through activities, including potluck meetings, the annual four-county picnic, team-based work, debate/election watch parties, activity nights, and our regular e-news and Facebook page updates.
